Climate Champions, part of BCS’s Barefoot Project, is providing tools to schools to increase awareness of climate change while developing pupils’ IT skills.
In 2021, in the run up to COP26 in Glasgow a group of teachers got together to think how best to increase awareness of climate change while developing children’s IT skills. The result is Climate Champions which is a part of BCS’s Barefoot Project, established in 2014, providing tools to schools to develop IT skills.
Climate Champions has reached 60,000 pupils around the country, like these pupils in Crumpsall Lane Primary School in Manchester who are using Canva to learn important computer skills, as well as creating these amazing posters on climate change and how we can stop it.
